Introduction

The Undergraduate Program of Business Administration began at NTNU in August 2009, its educational principle being to nurture professional leadership and administrative talent with international perspectives. In August 2015, it changed the name into “Department of Business Administration”

In order to promote cross-territory integration and provide students with more flexible selections, this program breaks through departmental separation to integrate resources from the entire College of Management and provide students with diversified learning in the professional realm of management. After students complete basic management courses, they then decide their major. This course also actively promote cross-specialization academic research and practical implementation plans. Through close cooperation with the business world, instructional and research focus will be integrated with industrial needs, to further increase the competitiveness of students.

Mission

As a business school affiliated to the best normal university in Taiwan, the mission of the COM resides in creating management knowledge and cultivating humanistic business leaders.
To create management knowledge, our academic disciplines and intellectual contributions focus on marketing, finance and economics, and general management. In addition to basic research, we also emphasize in applied research such as interdisciplinary researches and Academia-industry cooperation. The COM will continue to strengthen our research and teaching on MarTech, FinTech, and Big Data applications.
To cultivate humanistic business leaders, the COM is dedicated to providing a unique learning environment for business and non-business students by utilizing the abundant humanistic resources of NTNU. Through distinct curricula design and cooperating with humanities instructors, the COM prepares its students to be future leaders not only with global perspectives, mindsets of sustainability and social responsibility, but also with the ability to appreciate the diversity of individual values as well as to stimulate creativity, free will, and the positive potential of employees or team members.
